What apps have to run on my phone for that? Serial/IMEI have been updated in my profile. It also works flawless on a Nexus 9 tablet and other phones. The UE Boom 2 box works flawless on a Moto G3 phone with same Google Play Music app version and connected to the same 2.4 GHz WiFi. The stuttering happens everytime, when media is played from the Google Play Music cloud on the UE Boom 2 box. When connected to the WiFi, nothing else is done except Google Play Music is playing music via Bluetooth to the UE Boom 2 box. So please do not advise to change to a 5 GHz WiFi, because it works with other devices including older Motorola phones (and we do not have a 5 GHz WiFi here). I know that 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth share the same part of the RF spectrum, but I have to say clearly that all other devices, including Moto G2/G3, Nexus 7/Nexus 9 tablets and several old and new Samsung smartphones work without issues in the very same environment (same speaker, same apps, same settings, same WiFi). Stuttering music is really annoying and a true show-stopper for me, so I'm close to send my new Motorola X4 back to Amazon.

All app and phone software is the latest. Only turning off WiFi and streaming local media from the phone seems to solve this issue. every 2 to 20 seconds for about 100 to 300 milliseconds. Even when I stream music to the speaker which is saved locally (because I downloaded it from Google Play Music earlier), the sound is stuttering irregular, approx. Can I play music on my desktop app from my mobile app At the moment, you cant.

My Moto X4 has problems to stream Google Play Music or others audio via bluetooth to my UltimateEars UE Boom 2 speaker (firmware 2.1.107, serial 1708LZ04Yxxx), while being connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi. No, you need to be on the same Wifi/network with the chosen audio device.
